FAQ

Q: What materials do you use for your artwork?

A: All of my materials are artist grade, sourced with care to ensure the highest quality. I prioritize supporting local art stores for my supplies. For acrylic paint, I love working with TRI ART Paints, Golden, and Holbien brands. My canvases are all gallery depth, stapled on the back and ready to hang with D-rings and wire installed. No framing is needed for my canvas art.

Q: Can you tell me more about your canvas preparation process?

A: Certainly! Some of my canvases have been stretched with new cotton and painted with gesso by me, resulting in a more rustic look at the back. I take pride in refurbishing canvas that I feel needs a complete do-over. Starting over is a feeling of complete rejuvenation for me. I won't overwork a canvas until it has too many layers; I would rather start over with fresh cotton canvas.

Here is an example of the back of a painting with d-rings and wire / title /year and signature is on the back. Signature is on the front as well.

Q: Do your artworks come with any documentation?

A: Absolutely! I include a certificate of authenticity with each artwork, ensuring its provenance and authenticity.

Q: How long does it take to prepare my artwork for shipment after purchase?

A: Please allow three days after purchase for me to package and prepare your artwork with the utmost care. Your satisfaction is my priority, and I take the time to ensure that your artwork arrives safely and securely.

Q: What about art on paper created with oil pastels?

A: Art on paper created with oil pastels should be framed by you after purchase. A common frame size for this type of artwork is 9"x12", making it easy to find a ready-made frame that suits your taste.

Q: What materials do you use for your artwork?

A: I use a variety of high-quality materials to create my artwork, each carefully chosen to bring my vision to life. These materials include:

  • Acrylic paint: I love working with acrylic paint for its versatility and vibrant colors.
  • Acrylic markers: These markers allow for precise details and bold lines in my artwork.
  • Oil sticks: Oil sticks provide rich, creamy textures and vibrant hues, adding depth to my pieces.
  • Oil pastels: I incorporate oil pastels for their lush colors and ability to create unique textures.
  • Gold foil: I occasionally use gold foil to add shimmer and elegance to certain pieces.
  • Texture paste: Texture paste adds dimension and tactile interest to my artwork, creating depth and complexity.
  • Paper: I also work on paper for certain pieces, exploring different textures and surfaces to enhance the overall composition.

Please check the product description for each artwork to see the specific materials used in its creation. I take pride in experimenting with various mediums to achieve the desired effects in my art.
